Goalscorers – Seba x1, Niall x3
Lads a decent effort against a very good side. Their centre forward made the difference with 5 goals and bags of pace that troubled us all night. But that aside, we stood up to them and had some quality moments ourselves, with several excellent individual displays, and kept creating chances ourselves. The most pleasing aspect was despite a backs-to-the-wall performance, we didn’t let our heads drop and kept battling right to the very end. We’ll need that level of effort every week to compete this summer and into next season.
MOTM Niall Quinn – Lead the line brilliantly and scored a sublime hat-trick to keep us in the game. Outstanding debut.
